This Design\Build Project, accomplished in conjunction with Ivy Street Design, transformed a mundane landscape into a modern showpiece that enhances the strong architectural lines of this iconic building. Elements included: intensive plantings, cast-in-place concrete walls and installation of a large Spruce for the community’s traditional Christmas tree ceremony. Singing Hills continues to maintain this project with the opportunity to keep the look vibrant and new by the addition of masses of annual flowers each year.

"This project focused on transforming two acres of native field into a landscape that enhances the existing building’s architecture. Singing Hills coordinated with the City, The Arts Center Staff, and Ivy Street Design to transform the site. Highlights include: a holiday area, public gathering space, hardscape that compliments the angular architecture of the building, ADA compliant access, and a model of Xeriscape landscaping principles.
Frequent communication throughout the construction phase kept the City abreast of progress and issues. Irrigation modifications and adjustments were required throughout the process due to inaccurate as-built records. Existing grading and drainage flows were integrated into the design and construction process- ensuring that the existing drainage flow was not disturbed by the new construction. Managing the construction around a busy office building required clear communication with the City’s facility manager.
The Arts Center landscape project highlights our focus on quality design and installation. The project has continued to improve since the installation because of Best Practices implemented by the Crew throughout the construction."
